Women's Book Discussion Group
On Thursday, April 15th at 5:30pm, Barbara Moran will lead a discussion on Cezanne's Quarry by Barbara Corrado Pope.  The novel skillfully explores the subjugation and abuse of women in the 19th century, the injustices of the French legal system, the conflict between Darwinian philosophy and established religious beliefs, and Cezanne's art, love of life and depressed personality.
Refreshments provided by Erika Baer and Evelyn Badzik. A $2 donation is requested on the night of the discussion to cover refreshment costs. We will also sign up for our May potluck dinner and choose our books for next year.  The May discussion book is People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.

Movie Night will be held on Friday, April 23rd at 6 pm. We will meet in the annex at 6:00 pm for an optional dinner, and social time with friends. A little before 7:00, the group will migrate to the chapel for more comfortable seating and viewing of the movie “Before Stonewall”. This video chronicles the lives of bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people in the twentieth century prior to the Stonewall Riots in 1969. It provides a fascinating historical perspective in a documentary format. A discussion will follow the movie. Please sign up on the form available in the lobby to reserve your dinner. Child care will be available if requested.

Men's Book Discussion Group
On Monday, May 3rd, the men will meet in the church to discuss, My Life With the Chimpanzees by Jane Goodall.  This is Dr. Goodall's best and most far-reaching book for readers of all ages.  She tells the fascinating story of her life, spanning from her early childhood days through the present.  Read about how her relationship with the animals in their natural habitat made her the world famous conservationist she is today.  Let's keep this group going!  Please contact me, if logistics keep you from joining the group. The June discussion book is A Benjamin Franklin Reader by Walter Isaacson.

Inter-generational Game Night for all members and friends from Lower Elementary through adult.
