A Unitarian Universalist education does not merely seek to transmit information and/or beliefs as “the one true way”. It is an adventure in discovery, providing the tools for eventually making personal decisions about one’s individual spirituality.
Our ultimate goal is to help our children learn how to think about their lives in a religious and values based context. While information is necessary, its transmittal is not our primary purpose. We hope to help our children and youth see themselves honestly, and to understand the world around them. Our emphasis is that through such honesty, they will discover and develop a foundation of ethical values, concern for truth, respect for their freedom, for the freedom of others, and an intelligent love for human kind.
Religion is a universal calling. Through age-appropriate experiences and lessons, we aim to awaken and educate our children about the way others throughout the world have responded to that calling, and hope that they will, in turn, find their own level of spirituality as they grow into adulthood.
Should your children be too young for our church school classes, we provide a quiet nursery room with plenty of fun activities, monitored by two skilled caregivers.
