Services always begin promptly at 10:30 AM on Sundays.
Our "full service" church year runs concurrently with the Grosse Pointe area school calendar, from September to June. During the summer, we have weekly services as well, but with a somewhat more casual approach. The majority of these summer services are lay-led, usually by members of our own congregation, with wide-ranging and challenging topics and themes not typically covered during the rest of the year.
Approximately once a month during the regular church year, a guest speaker stands in for Rev. Mitra Rahnema at the pulpit, offering a different perspective. Often this is a visiting minister from another Unitarian church; otherwise, it is a lay speaker.
Children are always welcome. For the sake of preserving a quiet environment during services, our glass-walled gallery area immediately outside the Chapel is available for those with a restless child or infant. The sound system enables you to hear and participate fully.
We also provide a nursery with trained supervisors, plus an enriching church school for all school-age children (pre-registration recommended).
If you are hearing impaired, amplification aids are available in the foyer.
Please try us out, on any given Sunday. We LOVE visitors!
